When testing autonomous cars it is of great importance to have a wide range of test cases to ensure
that the safety systems of the car works for all behaviours in its surroundings. In traffic, a cyclist
is one of the most unpredictable objects, where sudden movement changes occur swiftly.
To test these safety systems on a cyclist, an autonomous bicycle that resembles a regular cyclist on an
electric bicycle to the extent possible in the seance of silhouette, radar cross section and movement
behaviour has been developed.
The autonomous bicycle developed in this project is a continuation
and improvement of an earlier developed self balancing bicycle project on a completely new platform.
